Western Home Journal Spotlights “Pure Colorado Mountain Living” at Glacier

The latest praise for Glacier’s picture-perfect, private residential community in Southwest Colorado comes from Western Home Journal, which highlighted the enclave’s sought-after mountain lifestyle and newest residential offerings in its January 2021 issue. In the article, Glacier is described as “setting an incredibly high bar for mountain living” and “an undiscovered gem in the southwest corner of Colorado’s diverse topography.”

Set at the north end of the Animas River Valley, just a short distance from the lively streets of Durango, Glacier is a true haven for active nature lovers and sporting enthusiasts. Residents enjoy an average of 300 days of sunshine each year and easily accessible adventures range from rounds of golf on the property’s two 18-hole courses to exploring miles of on-property trails by foot or bike and carving the slopes of the nearby Purgatory Resort.

“Glacier is home to a wonderful group of people who enjoy the area and its surroundings,”Mike Gullotti, a member of Glacier’s real estate sales team, told the publication. “Our owners and members are very happy because the quality of life here is among the best in the rocky mountain west.”

The flexibility of ownership at Glacier is also part of its appeal. “There are a variety of homes to enjoy at Glacier, from a large single-family custom mountain home on two acres to a two-bedroom Club Cottage that you can enjoy for a few weeks every year,” Gullotti notes in the article. “I present these different properties with something for everyone. Over the years, we have planned several phases of construction. It starts with accessibility and the ability to build within the lots. Structure and roads take planning in the mountains. This summer, we have experienced a major uptick in sales. We are up 138 percent in the north country from last year.”

The piece also details Glacier’s newest limited residential offering, Etta Ridge, which broke ground earlier this year and is currently under pre-sale and accepting reservations. This new five-building collection of 30 luxury mountain condominiums is ideally sited atop a promontory, bordered by century-old Ponderosa pines. With an annual circulation of over 125,000 and an active directory of hundreds of partners spanning 11 categories, Western Home Journal has been spotlighting distinguished living in the American West through its regional print publications and website for the past 10 years.
