Introducing New Nonstop Flights From Durango to Las Vegas and Denver

Getting to and from Glacier just got easier. We’re thrilled to share that Frontier Airlines is introducing year-round nonstop service between Durango and Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport, starting June 11, and seasonal nonstop service to Denver International Airport, starting June 4. Read up on the details below and gear up for your most effortless summer yet.

The Details: Las Vegas & Denver Flights

Flights to Las Vegas will be operated two days per week, year-round, with departures on Monday and Friday. Flights to Denver will be operated four days per week during an initial summer seasonal period with departures on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This added service from Frontier will offer Durango a fifth year-round nonstop destination and additional competition on the popular Denver route, opening up more choices for the community and improving access for visitors — just in time for your summer guests at Glacier.

What This Means for Durango

This announcement is extremely positive news as we see Durango-La Plata County Airport vastly outperform the recovery seen at airports throughout the country amid the pandemic. The introduction of Frontier flights, plus the recent addition of Delta service to and from Salt Lake City, means that 2021 summer seat capacity will far exceed what we saw in 2019. We are incredibly proud to emerge from this otherwise challenging year with two additional airlines and two more nonstop destinations, both of which are set to kickstart the post-pandemic economic recovery in our region.
